Edward Davies
Edward established the Cheshire Pet in 1998. He has run the company successfully and prides himself on creating a friendly and welcoming atmosphere. He is integral to the Cheshire Pet. He graduated from Bristol Veterinary College and worked in various veterinary fields until deciding he would like to run his own practice. He has 3 dogs, Hennie, Ben and Boot, 1 cat, 20+ chucks and a rescue tortoise!

Elizabeth Powell
Since joining the practice Elizabeth has added another aspect to our approach to veterinary medicine as she has an interest in animal behavioural problems having completed a diploma in 2002, and has worked with leading behaviourists in this field. She qualified as a vet in 1993 and has worked all over the UK. She is also an anaesthetist. She has an ex-laboratory rescue cat, and lives on a small-holding alongside various chickens and ducks and 3 sheep - Donald, Frank & Fred. Click here to see some of Elizabeth's zoo.

Claire Shorthose
Claire is one of our vets. She has been with us since 2003 having moved from her native Scotland to Cheshire to practice. He husband Andy is an equine veterinary surgeon and they have 2 dogs, 2 Burmilla cats, 2 corn snakes and 2 horses. Claire has an interest in senior animal veterinary care, and certain behavioural problems in small animals. She has produced a national-selling CD 'Fear of Fireworks' tackling behavioural issues amongst anxious pets. Click here to see some of Claire's babies.

Rachel Sowerby
Rachel joined us in July from a small animal clinic in Stoke. She graduated as a vet in 2004 and divides her time between the Holmes Chapel and Sandbach clinics. She lives in Sandbach with her partner (and very recent fiance) Dave, who is also a vet and their cat, Baker a ginger and white tom cat. Her hobbies include live music, socialising, food and running (was seen out on a run on a Sunday morning by a confused work colleague!). She has settled in brilliantly and we are really pleased she has chosen to come and work here.

Jane Hammersley
Jane qualified as a veterinary nurse in 1992 and has worked in Leek, at an orthopaedic and trauma referral practice in Nottingham, and as Head Nurse in Newcastle–under-Lyme. She has been with us since Day 1! She is our Head Nurse and our Pet Insurance Advisor (PIA). She has 4 cats – Violet, Gus, Potty & Larry, and 2 dogs – Danny & Dora.

Jessica Crump
Jess joined Cheshire Pet in March 2005, Origninally from Timperley she now lives with her husband Paul in Northwich. Jess has worked in Wythenshawe, Sale, Cheadle Hulme and Hale. She has also worked in a large referral hospital but enjoys the close client contact of Cheshire Pet. She has cats - Baggers, Puddles, Hebe, and Bruce and a dog called Rufus and 2 tropical fish tanks with too many fish to name! In 2005 she formally adopted Hermione - our practice cat - who now enjoys living in the lap of luxury in Northwich!

Kim Treloar
Kim joined us in 2007 from Hollyhouse Vets. She has been nursing since she was 18. She has 1 spoilt cat called Paddy, and Wally & Gromit (rabbit and guinea pig). Her outside interests include fashion design (which she studied at college), horse-riding and eating chocolate!

Rebecca Beard
Becky joined us in June having worked at a referral centre in Chester. Being newly married (July 08) she wanted to work nearer to home and in a first opinion small animal clinic. She lives with her brand new husband Stu and 2 cats (Jack and Finn) in Shavington. Her interests include live music, socialising and paying off her wedding. Rachel Webb
Rachel joined us as a receptionist in 2004. She has a degree in English & Sociology and pursued a business career, until quitting to work with animals. She ran a local cat rescue for 2 years until joining us. She has 1 dog, (Seamus - the best dog in the world ever!), 5 cats (Emily, Puddy, George, Oscar and Leo) and 2 gerbils (Dusty & Merry). Her interests are literature, theatre, The Archers and dog walking. (she is only 32 not 88)

Deborah Cooper
Deborah moved from Kent in January 2008. She studied for degree in archaeology and worked for Kent Archaeological Unit until having her kids (19 & 17). She then decided she wanted a complete career change and, having always loved animals she decided to work in an environment devoted to their care and welfare. She lives in Sandbach with Mike her husband, daughter Emma and the following menagerie:- 5 horses, 4 sheep, 3 dogs, 6 cats, 2 tortoises, a bantum cockerel and his harem of 5 hens! When Debbie isn't recovering from running her zoo and working she loves to horse ride and is interested in history archaeology, geneology and photography.

Rebecca Davies
Rebecca (Edward’s wife) helped to establish the surgery in 1998. She also graduated from Bristol Vet College. She has an MBA in Business Management and is responsible for the surgery’s marketing strategies. She works occasionally at the surgery but is kept very busy with 3 children, India, Darcy and Kristin and her horse, Abby.

Fiona Tarry
Fiona joined us as veterinary nurse back in 2001. Having worked for 12 years in a Berkshire Veterinary Hospital as nurse then Practice Manager, she relocated back home to Cheshire. Having had 2 babies since her return - Matthew and Joe - she is our Practice Administrator. She has 2 rescue cats - Clarence and Connie, and a guinea pig called Eric, and part-owns a horse..

Pat Bennett
Along with Edward, Jane and Rebecca, Pat has been with us since Day 1! She began as receptionist, and part-time nurse and has now moved away from the public interface to accountants. She has 2 adorable border collies (Bobby & Jasmine) who often accompany Pat to work and 3 cats.

Liz Hayward (aka Little Lizzy)
Little Lizzy started off as our Girl Saturday over 5 years ago. She knew she wanted to work with animals so began working here to steer her in the right direction. She is now not-so-little Lizzie and has recently graduated with a foundation degree in Animal Management, Behaviour and Welfare. She is continuing her degree at university. She has 3 cats all rescued from Cheshire Pet (Dermot, Fergal & Paddy) and also undertakes dog walking for many clients. Her intersets include socialising (which student doesn't!), fashion and live music.
